Foam board insert designer
Enter your game box's inside measurements and your board thickness, then lay out trays with compartments sized for your cards, tokens and dice. Insert Bench works out every base, wall and divider, including the board thickness. You get a cut list, sheet layouts and a printable plan. Everything runs in your browser.
Check before you cut. Foam board is rarely exactly its nominal thickness, and box interiors vary. Measure both (how), then cut and test-fit one tray before the rest. The tool checks the geometry; it can't guarantee the fit.
1 · Box & board
Clearance is the gap left between the trays and each box wall, and between the trays and the lid. Slack is the extra room each component needs in each direction so you can pick it up.
2 · Trays
Give each tray its inside compartment sizes, separated by commas. Widths run left to right and lengths run top to bottom in the plan. Height is the outside height including the base. Walls are added automatically.
3 · Components
Optional. Assign components to a compartment to check that they fit. Card thickness and sleeve sizes are editable defaults, so measure your own. Cards & sleeves guide.

Sheet counts come from a rectangle-packing heuristic (rotation allowed), so the result isn't always the minimum. Spacing leaves room for blade width and trimming damaged edges.
7 · Print, save & export
The PDF is printed at a stated scale, such as 1:2 for the plan and 1:4 for the sheet layouts, with a 50 mm check bar. Cut to the numbers in the cut list, not by measuring the drawing. The SVG is drawn at true size in millimetres, for plotters, projectors or cutting machines.
